He’d won.

Against all odds, he had won. He had come out on top. He was now the ruler. The Arcobalenos were dead. The Varia and CEDEF were all taken care of. Not a single member of the Vongola was a threat anymore. Dead – they were all dead.

Well, except for that stupid cow, he supposed. But what was one pitiful crybaby of a cow? He was perfectly fine with letting him run amok thinking he’d somehow managed to luck out and escape the same fate he’d bestowed upon his belated comrades. It was almost amusing in a way. The poor, little beast had no clue how wrong he was. So, so wrong.

But, alas, keeping track of him could only serve to entertain him for so long. Frankly, he’d found himself with a new dilemma – one more detrimental than all the rest he had to face in the past couple of years. And maybe he was making too big of a deal out of it, but who could really blame him?

He was bored. Byakuran, ruler of his own world, was bored. There was nothing left to do! Sure, it was exciting and exhilarating the first few years – but now what? He had no more adversaries, no more threats to his life or his followers’ lives. It was just all so peaceful and mundane.

AHHHHHH, well...

At least he still had one more amusement at hand. Flicking on the switch to the intercom, he slipped a marshmallow into his mouth before he spoke in a rather upbeat voice, “Kikyo, I need you. ♪”
